‘Time to heal the nation’

With the temporary release of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from hospital arrest, now is the opportune time to “heal” the nation from the political, economic and social ills plaguing our country. Enough of animosities, deceit, vindictiveness, character assassination, etc., that have divided us as a nation since the 1986 People Power revolution.

Our political leaders should attend to the more pressing and burning issues of our time such as the Chinese claim to the Scarborough Shoal and other islets in the West Philippine Sea. Our government should find a win-win solution to this problem and exhaust all diplomatic means to calm the already volatile condition that could trigger a naval war with our giant neighbor China.

Let us unite as Filipinos and solve our multiple problems at home and with China.
