Maybe Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas and Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson should give this a thought.
How about an elevated highway by the rim of Laguna de Bay, starting from Calamba all the way to Sta. Maria, with exits in Bay, Sta. Cruz, and Paete?
There’s no other way to ease up the daily traffic gridlock in Calamba, Pansol, and UP junction in Los Baños except with an elevated highway by Laguna Lake. It’s very expensive to buy farm lands on the mountain perimeter along Makiling’s ranges.
This new elevated Laguna Lake expressway (approximately 50-60 kilometers) will open up the Banahaw and Sierra Madre towns to eco-tourism, eco-leisure and eco-sports; the towns can also take advantage of its lush, cool and forested topography, and the project will link up the picturesque Infanta route all the way to the pristine Pacific coast.
This is the best infrastructure to fast-track the development of the nearest Southern Luzon boom region, which is only two hours away from Metro Manila.
We have the momentum. How about it? Now na!
