‘Revealing’ news story

The news item titled “Robredo issues transfer order for name-dropping cops linked to extortion” (Inquirer, 7/10/12) is quite revealing.

Now I understand why Mindanao, and in this particular case Basilan, cannot make any headway in the field of development.

It can now be told openly: Instead of dismissing bulok (corrupt) law enforcers from service, the Philippine government sends them to Mindanao as penalty for their corrupt and abusive ways.

Abusive government bureaucrats are merely transferred to Basilan where they can perpetrate and perpetuate their nefarious activities.
