Kudos to Conrado de Quiros for being fearless and incisive in his commentaries. We hope he continues to write without fear for our sake—the silent Filipino. We may not have the gift of pen, but we can discern right from wrong. We know what is a principled stand, and we can discern the lack of values in the way the “political butterflies” and “trapos” (traditional politicians), who are solely driven by personal greed and political expediency, behave.
Sayang! (What a pity!) Erap Estrada has become passé. He was once on a pedestal—as idol of the masses. Now, it takes a mere Koko Pimentel to stand up to him. In his attempts to regain lost prestige, Estrada exudes shades of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
