Natural beauty only, please

It has always been pretty nice seeing young, beautiful ladies from all over the world all together in a pageant. They may have different characteristics such as hair color, eyes, nose and skin color, but all of them are beautiful.

Who determines which candidate is the most beautiful? The judges? The text and online voters?

Basically, it is still society that defines what beauty is. Although we must remember that real beauty is from within a person, I think it is also important to showcase the beauty of these contestants in order to appreciate the wonderful creatures of the Creator.

However positive the motive of the pageant is, it can become negative when people feel low and undergo different cosmetic and medical surgeries just to change the way they look. These beauty pageants, in order to remain true to what I believe their true motive is, should only showcase natural beauty.

When these pageants allow transgender and transsexual individuals to join, then they will no longer showcase natural beauty. Those who will win may be the ones with enough money to undergo countless surgeries and beautification make-overs. There may even be a time wherein “females” who are actually males, will overrule the competition.

The pageant that will accept these individuals will no longer showcase natural beauty, but will make beauty very idealistic and unnatural.
