This is about Inquirer’s March 23 banner story on Pulse Asia’s survey showing that 47 percent of Filipinos believe Chief Justice Renato Corona is guilty. Interpretations of survey results vary depending on how one looks at it.
Almost half of the respondents of the Pulse Asia survey remains undecided on the innocence or guilt of Chief Justice Corona. We see this as a positive sign that our people are closely watching the impeachment trial and are not the type who easily pass judgment despite the daily trial by publicity against the Chief Justice and his family.
We are therefore optimistic that as soon as our people see the complete picture from the prosecution and the defense, the tide will turn, as they will realize that there is really no merit in this impeachment case.
Today’s majority opinion can become tomorrow’s minority voice.
