Greed is the enemy

/ 06:09 AM March 17, 2012

The subhead of a news story in the Inquirer’s March 3 issue says: “MVP: Mining is not the enemy, poverty is.” This all sounds good on paper, but do people like him really care about the poverty of the people? Let him and his ilk who have amassed billions of pesos, virtually creating business monopolies to control the wealth and life of the country, share some of the billions they’ve earned to help minimize poverty.

My personal take: Greed is the enemy; poverty is the damage.
