SSS not responding to verification request

I am writing this letter out of frustration with the Social Security System’s inaction regarding my request for manual verification of my unposted monthly contributions covering a period of 4.83 years and the subsequent adjustment of my monthly pension. I hope that through this letter, SSS president Emilio de Quiros Jr. will take notice not only of my case but also of the plight of my fellow former Prudential Bank employees who have the same problem with the SSS. And I also hope that he will act on the matter immediately.

Prior to my retirement in 2009, I was continuously employed with Prudential Bank and Bank of the Philippine Islands for a total of 39.33 years. I initially requested for manual verification of my monthly contribution in a letter to the SSS main office, duly coursed and received by the SSS Makati branch on July 7, 2009. I wanted my records reviewed and updated in preparation for my retirement on Oct. 31, 2009.

A follow-up request for manual verification of my unposted monthly contributions covering a period of 4.83 years and for the  adjustment of my monthly pension was contained in a letter addressed to Cecilia Roa of the Contributions Accounting Department in the SSS main office, duly coursed and received by the SSS Parañaque branch on April 26, 2011. The unposted monthly contributions made during my stint with Prudential Bank from June 16, 1970 to Dec. 31, 2005, were not reflected in the credit years of service in my Initial DDR Voucher Notice which showed only a total of 34.50 years.

To this day, I have not received any formal reply from the SSS regarding the status of my requests. Follow-up phone calls made to the SSS Parañaque branch, the latest of which was on March 8, 2012, also yielded the same standard reply that they would inform me once my request is completed.
