Where is ‘Eden Lim Cruz’?
I have been looking for one “Eden Lim Cruz” for more than three years now, to the extent of making inquiries at the headquarters of the Philippine National Police on her whereabouts because she was with a group of some 20 battle-ready policemen who raided our house and arrested me without warrant for my alleged rape of her and theft of her cell phone.
More than three prosecutors joined her to charge me with those crimes in the municipal and regional trial courts, which ordered my detention without bail.
The courts, however, promptly dismissed the cases permanently upon their own discoveries that the alleged victim could not be located, was totally unknown in her own given address, and had no record of residency in such locality. Thus she was shown to be a “bogus” victim who was just used by the PNP and the Cavite prosecutors in a conspiracy to effect an “arrest-for-ransom,” which is much worse than “kidnap-for-ransom” because the perpetrators are vested with governmental powers. Those who arrested me and the prosecutors demanded P300,000 to “settle” the cases against me.
If ever “Eden Lim Cruz” surfaces—the PNP has her pictures, records and other information which they are withholding despite request—she can shed light on the ongoing racket which is run by the very people who have been tasked to protect us and ensure that justice prevails.
