SSS still to be steered into right path

/ 02:13 AM February 27, 2012

I am writing in the hope of bringing the Social Security System to the right path.

I was able to comply with all my requirements for retirement some time in 2010. Two years after, I am still following up my first retirement pay.

The reason is red tape: (1) manual verification of SSS contributions; (2) “installment” or piece-by-piece instructions on the lack of requirements, and so the submission is also on “installment basis,” etc.

As a former manager of SyCip, Gorres, Velayo & Co.’s Management Services Division and a certified public accountant, I am asking the SSS that it release my first retirement pay.
