Justice Moreland’s, not CJ Corona’s words

In reference to the penultimate paragraph of the Inquirer’s Feb. 1 editorial, the quote “A litigation is not a game of technicalities……” is not Chief Justice Renato Corona’s “own words.”

They are the words of Supreme Court Justice Moreland in the case of Alonso v. Villamor, GR No. L-2352, decided more than a hundred years ago (July 26, 1910).
