Timely warning both to public and terrorists

/ 11:00 PM January 17, 2012

Although military and police authorities are constantly on their toes in securing the public whenever an activity like the annual procession of the Feast of the Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila, happens, President Aquino’s warning about the terrorist plot to bomb the procession was timely. It alerted the public to be more careful and to watch out for suspicious characters in the ranks of the devotees.

The President gave the warning not only for the public to be more vigilant, but also to send the message to terrorists that their activities was being monitored by authorities, hence, the government was more than prepared to prevent terrorist acts meant to cause massive death and destruction and serious injuries to people.
