Doro now a rebel without a cause

Tyranny refers to leaders of nations oppressing their own people, thus I don’t know how Amando Doronila came to the conclusion that President Aquino has a “tyrannical tendency” that is being unmasked. (Inquirer, 12/26/11)

Far from oppressing the Filipino people, P-Noy, by his words, has made us his “bosses,” and by his actions in heeding our overwhelming clamor that the past, corrupt Arroyo administration be made accountable.

P-Noy has been making good on his campaign promise to slowly but surely reverse the economic doldrums wrought by nearly a decade of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s rule marked by backroom deals, under-the-table transactions and the corruption of the Judiciary.

Slowly but surely, P-Noy is putting flesh on his conviction that “kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap.”

And for our President’s unflinching resolve to serve the people, Doronila is now parroting the line of disgraced and impeached Chief Justice Renato Corona that P-Noy has become a tyrant.

It’s sad because Doronila seems to have become a rebel without a cause with his series of attacks against President Aquino who is only doing his best to remove the last vestiges of the corrupt system put in place by the Arroyos.
