/ 12:02 AM November 29, 2011

This refers to Delfin Mallari’s news article (“In Quezon town, landowner fights for just pay,” Inquirer, 10/28/11) regarding the acquisition of the road right-of-way for the construction of the Candelaria bypass road project in Quezon province.

A review of the road right-of-way claim is being conducted by the DPWH Region 4-A legal staff in compliance with Department Order No. 24, series of 2001 and Special Order No. 80, series of 2001.

Further, the DPWH Quezon Province Second District Engineering Office in Lucena City has been directed to coordinate with the claimants for the submission of the Extrajudicial Settlement of Estate with Affidavit of Publication and other requirements to expedite the processing of the road right-of-way claim of the Jamias family.
