In praise of PH bet to the Miss Grand International pageant  

I write this to express my admiration for our bet, Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza, who recently finished as the first runner-up in Miss Grand International 2024, staged in Thailand.

It is well known among many fans that CJ flew to Thailand with very limited preparation time, yet she was able to represent the Philippines flawlessly and fearlessly from day one up to the finals night of the pageant. This made it clear to me that she was truly born for this competition. She wowed us with her grand performance during the coronation, leaving both Filipino and foreign fans proud and inspired by her dedication, skill, and talent.

When the Top 5 came, she delivered her final answer first among the finalists, with no seconds to think, which convinced us that she could have been most worthy of the title. I nevertheless wholeheartedly embrace the results, as CJ’s pervasive charisma is what truly shone throughout the competition.

Please know, CJ, that we are immensely grateful and thankful to have you as our representative of such caliber. You fought a good fight. Mabuhay ka!
