Rethink US proposal on visa center

I agree with Sen. Imee Marcos that the Philippine government needs to scrutinize more closely the United States government’s request for the Philippines to become a center for visa immigration processing of workers who worked for the US government in Afghanistan.

Most of these people are Muslims who hold conservative Muslim ideologies. The Philippines is a predominantly Christian country. The ideal place for the processing center is Indonesia which is 95 percent a Muslim country. Indonesia is a better fit than the Philippines.
