Game ‘ka na ba,’ students?

Instead of lamenting the state of our educational system, may I propose a concept on how to augment the learning curve of the students?

Being an educational game show advocate and creator, may I suggest a typical/conventional game show concept as guide for school’s extracurricular activities?

A game show where a contestant garnering the highest score after a few episodes (say three or four) will be declared a champion, or by elimination (pyramidical structure) where contestants garnering the lowest scores in every episode shall be removed until one reaches the top. I suggest that the number of contestants be more than 12 or upon the discretion of the organizer.

The range of questions shall be based on spelling, math (4÷2×3+9-7=?), picture (flag, people, etc.), fill-in-the-blank ( tense, idiom, adverb, etc.), multiple choice, and direct answer (general knowledge, etc.). Questionnaires must be in consonance with the 3Rs. The manner in answering is by writing on a whiteboard which in effect will also showcase each contestant’s range of knowledge (hindi paunahan/tap-the buzzer-first system). This concept will promote competitive psyche, intellectual health, excitement among the students, and goodwill to all.
