May our votes bring about good governance

/ 04:10 AM May 11, 2022

Every Filipino has the right to suffrage. Every Filipino has the right to choose who they want to lead the Philippines. Every Filipino of any age, sector, or category certainly deserves good and qualified leaders who could help make the system or institutions better, and give what is due to the people and the Philippines.

I know one thing for sure: I want a leader whose heart is for the Philippines and its constituents. I am against a leader who runs only for personal political gains. I am against a leader who forges alliance and willingly endorses those politicians and the likes who support the enemies of the state, because of his/her desperation to win. I want a leader who will end the long decades of insurgency and would give us real peace that we have longed for.

We have so much potential, and I hope we could use our critical thinking in the right and best way possible, which could benefit everyone especially the farmers, fisherfolks, and the poorest of the poor. Most importantly, let us implore heavenly guidance that our wise and collective votes beget good governance, and this is the only way that we can achieve positive change for peace and sustainable development in our place.
