A teacher saying that a person who took a licensure exam once is a better professional/person than someone who took it twice clearly lacks empathy, is unhealthily self-entitled, and has not been performing teaching duties well enough to know that exams are not the endgame.

In my thesis, I say that a favorite Tagalog word is “unawa” or to understand. Root word: “awa,” meaning “mercy,” “pity,” or “compassion.” “Unawa” recognizes that understanding is inseparable from compassion. We seek to understand out of care. We care and thus seek to understand.

There might indeed be a gap or a chasm between ordinary and regular folks who are not really amused about politics and elections and those that are passionate about it. Bridging this gap should be the objective; is necessary.
