MORE VOICES

We have an obligation to explain why we choose a candidate. Our vote is not only for ourselves, but for the country. Whoever wins will have an impact not only on those who voted for the candidate, but also those who did not. We respect the choice. But we need answers, too.

[Is the PH ready for alert level 0?]

We are NOT yet ready. Though COVID cases are going down and controlled. Haste makes waste. Think about the campaign sorties which might cause surges. Step up on vaccination and boosters. Wear face masks. Stay focused.

@DrTonyLeachon

Endemic doesn’t mean no more COVID. It means COVID is still present but at low levels, and possibly local. It doesn’t mean milder (e.g., malaria). It can also cause outbreak fluctuations. Too early to say COVID pandemic is already endemic as many countries still have high cases.

How do you deal with cultists and fanatics? Documents, testimonies, reports, evidence, eyewitness accounts, official records that detail the crimes of their idols—these zealots deny EVERYTHING. To them it’s all a plot.

Beware any person or group that doesn’t respect your right to be different. A lot of movements claim to value the dignity of the individual, but they reveal their true colors when you dare to think for yourself. Being you is just about the bravest thing you can be in this world.

@SketchesbyBoze

Real unity is when you are able to bring the front, left, and center of the social spectrum together. It isn’t everyday that you see the gender and social activists, feminists, the academe, the youth, senior citizens, and the church working together for the future of the land.
