A liar who connived with the dictator Ferdinand Marcos in fabricating his “ambush.” A man who is facing a plunder case for his role in the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam. That is the person President Duterte consulted to defend his docile policy toward China in the West Philippine Sea.

If the President thought former senator Juan Ponce Enrile sitting beside him would bolster his slavish policy, then he chose the wrong person.
