We are experiencing an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases. Question: What is driving the spike?
Is it because we stubbornly do not listen to the science-based recommendations of our health experts on how to address COVID-19?
Is it because we are already too stressed and weary of the COVID-19 lockdown, with all the government-imposed restrictions on staying at home, maintaining physical distance, wearing face masks and shields, testing, retesting, tracing, tracking, isolating oneself or quarantining, conducting Zoom meetings, etc., such that some of us are no longer motivated to follow them, hence leading to complacency?
Is it because we have different priorities and that we are more interested to talk about the 2022 elections, election surveys, and who are running for president or vice president, senators, etc., than advancing ideas or policies on how to save human lives from this pandemic?
All of the above.
