Educate families on proper health practices

/ 04:01 AM March 16, 2021

Let’s get vaccinated with a safe, efficient vaccine with less adverse side effects, one that is available and certified by the Department of Health and Food and Drug Administration. While vaccination is accepted as a universal standard in combating COVID-19 and is a proven safeguard against infection, let us bear in mind that the high risk of mutation due to easy transmission of this disease might contribute to the drastic rise in cases among clusters of families, as reported in the past days. While these observations are commonly attributed to poor observance of health protocols and practices, the recent significant rise should encourage us to drastically change our habits and personal hygiene practices.

Many families reuse and share face masks with other members of the household due to insufficient supply. The use of the same face towels among drivers and workers is also a contributory practice. There is a need to educate families to practice proper health protocols to prevent the spread of infection among them.
