Erroneous module

05:00 AM February 12, 2021

This concerns the learning module(s) authored by Dr. Felicidad N. Remo and Ms Avelina S. Espelita published by St. Matthew’s Publishing Corporation.

The authors described the Igorot as: “AKO AY SI DIGO. ISA AKONG IGOROT. KULOT NA KULOT ANG ITIM KONG BUHOK.”

The authors apparently do not understand the meaning of “learning modules,” which must convey the truth to students who will read them. How can students learn the truth if what is written in that learning module is not true, erroneous, and does not represent the Igorot?

The Department of Education should censure and/or ban the authors and the proofreaders of that learning module. Remo and Espelita also owe the Igorot an apology.
