Duterte using his old ploy

Sen. Risa Hontiveros and the Makabayan bloc did not get it. President Duterte does not really think that the presidency is not for his daughter Sara. He simply is trying to use his old line.

Remember in 2016 when he pretended that he was not running for the top position? He had a proxy and, at the last minute, he pretended that he was pushed into the race. But he had, in fact, been going around the country for two years prior to the 2016 elections.

Now that he is President, now and then he would say that he wants to resign from his position. He tells the military, you rise and demand my resignation and I will promptly resign.

He also says, I am not for term extension. I will not stay a minute longer than my original term.

So now Sara says she is not interested in the presidency and is asking the polling firms to exclude her from the surveys.

This means that Sara will be a serious candidate in 2022.
