‘Ineffective’ face masks?

If there are more than 100,000 positive COVID-19 patients and more than 2,000 deaths in the Philippines, it is not because wearing face masks is not effective, as the most “intelligent” lawyer (Larry Gadon) in the country claims.

It is because his master by the Pasig River did not ban flights from China immediately in January 2020, fearing that it would antagonize his Chinese friends. The highest leader of the land even belittled the virus and said Filipinos need not worry about it. Personal protective equipment for health personnel in public and private hospitals were not provided immediately to protect the lives of health frontliners.

Instead of inspiring and uniting the people to confront the pandemic, we have a leader who advises them to use gasoline as a disinfectant, who prioritized the closing of the biggest TV network and the passing of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, and who treats public health issues in a militaristic fashion.

Gadon, please don’t blame the face masks.
