Blaming the wrong party for the ABS-CBN job losses

/ 04:03 AM July 28, 2020

Now the cat is finally out of the bag. Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr. is urging the Lopez family to sell the company to “save” its more than 11,000 employees. Aside from taking vengeance on ABS-CBN for airing the political advertisement sponsored by former senator Antonio Trillanes IV, what the Duterte family and their cronies want is for the Lopezes to sell the company to a “friendly” business tycoon.

The Dutertes and their allies are trying to shift the blame to the Lopez family. If they don’t sell the company, then it is their fault if the employees of the media giant become part of the growing jobless sector. But, of course, we all know that President Duterte, Sen. Bong Go, Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, and the 70 representatives are the ones responsible for the impending loss of thousands of jobs.

Representative Villafuerte, if you love the Philippines, stop selling your soul to the Dutertes.
