Malampaya funds not diverted to CCT
This pertains to the news item titled “Solons seek accounting of Malampaya fund.” (Inquirer, 9/15/11)
During the hearing of the congressional oversight committee, I reported the amount of P21.645 billion that had been spent, but I did not mention that the spent items were conditional cash transfer and the purchase of the Hamilton-class warship from the United States by the Philippine Navy as stated in paragraph four of the report.
Also, I submitted to the committee the status of Malampaya funds as well as the details of the expenses charged against the fund.
