COVID-19 response lacks empathy for masses

How many have reacted angrily to the government’s response to contain the spread of COVID-19? How many actually favor the orders given by President Duterte, his Cabinet, and local government officials?

How many in government have really thought about all those travel limitations that are now looking like measures that oppress low-income groups and people who have no access to any income whatsoever? How many have watched TV interviews of senior citizens who complain of having to walk several kilometers in search of food to buy because no tricycle or jeepney was allowed to operate?

What I have seen so far has made me angry. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

If I am still alive by the next elections, I will vote for president either the mayor of Manila or the mayor of Pasig. Kudos to these two who have so far shown real intelligence and empathy for the masses in this scary time.
