Lapid asked the sharpest, most important question

When Sen. Lito Lapid appeared before the Senate committee hearing the ABS-CBN franchise issue, we were ready for whatever nonsense that might come out of his mouth. Little did we realize we were in for a pleasant surprise.

Among the senators wasting time caviling about what franchise violations ABS-CBN has committed, Lapid posed the sharpest and most direct question that floored everyone: “Bakit ba galit na galit sa inyo si President Duterte?”

That was, truly, the long and short of it. During the previous renewals of its franchise, ABS-CBN had gone through the process quite swimmingly. Now, it is in hot water simply because Mr. Duterte is mad as hell at it.

But as always, Malacañang blabbermouth Salvador Panelo is lying through his teeth when he keeps saying his boss has absolutely nothing to do with the ABS-CBN issue. More than his often ridiculous get-up, the lies he always tells are really disgusting. Hasn’t he felt any shame to resign already?
