This refers to John Nery’s article, “Gago” (1/14/20) pointing to Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., as “gago” and President Duterte’s governance as “gaguhan.”
We send our children to school hoping for them to learn good manners and right conduct. Then they will see on TV and read in the newspapers and on social media our government officials saying “putang ina” and other indecent words with gusto.
Those expletives can’t stop volcanic eruptions, typhoons and earthquakes, reduce poverty, unemployment, joblessness, increase dollar reserves, and regain for the country investment grades from international credit firms. Or are they only a strategy to divert us from the real issues affecting our lives?
