Why ban US senators?

04:02 AM January 08, 2020

It seems Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. is following in the footsteps of “fake news” blogger RJ Nieto. Locsin said there is no provision in the 2020 US budget that bans the entry of Filipinos involved in the wrongful detention of Sen. Leila de Lima.

If he really believes this, he should have advised the President not to order the banning of US senators Patrick Leahy, Richard Durbin and Edward Markey.

Why did he not oppose such a policy?

If there is really no such provision, Locsin should have also opposed the statement of Malacañang requiring Americans to secure a Philippine visa when visiting the country.

Why did he not stop the Office of the President then?
