Farming is root of development

/ 05:01 AM November 21, 2019

Workforce migration in the agricultural industry is worsening and must be considered as a primary concern of the government.

The Philippines is an agricultural land, with millions of hectares of land area. Its dynamic asset must be taken care of properly. Farming is not a poor man’s job; it should be considered as the root of all development.

I beg officials to support our agriculture sector and help increase its workforce, instead of forcing agricultural workers to seek greener pastures elsewhere. Please don’t give us general plans, be specific and concrete on timelines and numbers.
