Antonio Sanchez deserves a second chance, asserted Sen. Ronald dela Rosa. “Second chance.” Sanchez must be thankful for all the chances given him to be alive. He could do productive work and pursue the cause of justice. He could make a stronger advocacy to promote women’s rights and welfare and lobby for quality education for the youth. But all these noble causes are far beyond his human understanding, as he uses his privileges for us to understand what evil and hell mean.
So far, he still enjoys the privilege of violating the law. He was caught with P1.5 million worth of shabu hidden in a
statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He stays in a cell with an air-conditioning unit and a flat-screen TV.
Second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. Why not start by reversing the “tokhang” project and designing a government project that would have a scientific human rights framework and moral approach to drug addiction? That is, a no-blood approach.
No life wasted, and no unnecessary sacrifice for those who are not into addiction. And do not give a second chance to the big drug trade market. Smash it right away.
Senator Dela Rosa, you have another chance to give more thought to giving Sanchez a second chance.
Let Sanchez stay behind bars. That is the greatest second chance society can give him.
