May I call the attention of Robert G. Vergara, general manager of the Government Service Insurance System.
I was a public school teacher. I retired on June 13, 2010. I filed my claim for Cash Surrender Value on Nov. 25, 2010 and since then, I have regularly been following it up. The money that I am going to get from my claim will be of great help to me and my family.
But every time I call the GSIS, I am always told that my claim is still being processed by the Reconciliation Department.
I am really wondering why the “reconciliation” of my records is taking so much time when all documents required for my claim have been duly submitted, and I know the records of the GSIS have been computerized. I was expecting that under a new administration, the processing of claims by the GSIS will be faster.
