When the ‘idol’ is problematic

I am a kindergarten teacher. As early as this stage, I begin to explain to my pupils that the purpose of school is to guide them to be successful and make their parents proud of them.

I used to ask them who are the successful people they know and want to emulate. I even asked them to act and speak like their idol.

But in the past couple of years, most of the kids began choosing the President, so I had to stop asking them to act and speak like their idol.
