Terrifying idea
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana may have missed the punch line of his boss during one of the latter’s comic routines, when the President expressed his wish to form a death squad to kill NPA members and idlers in communities. As explained by the Palace, it was a joke, a punch line meant to break the ice during a speech. And as we all know, we have a jokester as President!
But, as we were all moving on from that statement, the defense secretary said he thought Mr. Duterte’s proposal was a really good idea. What? A government death squad here, now, in the present? Maybe Lorenzana needs to sleep on it and let it go.
