Remembering Doña Paz tragedy

05:02 AM December 18, 2018

My family once again will commemorate the death of our loved ones and all those who have perished in the world’s deadliest sea tragedy, the sinking of MV Doña Paz, when it collided with an oil tanker in Tablas Strait, Mindoro on Dec. 20, 1987.

It’s now 31 years since the death of my parents and sister. Every year carries painful memories to my siblings.

May this season of Christmas bring faith, hope and inspiration to everyone and most especially to those who are in pain and are suffering for the loss of their loved ones and to those who are still awaiting that justice be served to them.
