Young victims of EJKs

When I saw pictures of victims of extrajudicial killings (EJK) in the government’s war on drugs that appeared in the Inquirer’s Nov. 2 issue, I was saddened.

Many of the pictures showed EJK victims who were very young. Their lives, potentials and dreams are now all lost,  gone to waste.

As a parent, I was shocked.

When can we really end the use of these illegal drugs that destroy the future of our youth? If the authorities can only stop drug smuggling, then we can be fully assured that these destructive drugs will no longer claim more victims and waste more lives.
