Faeldon’s whereabouts

05:01 AM November 20, 2018

This is regarding a report published on Nov. 10 raising questions about the whereabouts of Nicanor Faeldon (“Where is BuCor chief Nicanor Faeldon?” Inquirer.net).

Last Wednesday, Nov. 7, he was seen in the vicinity of Naia-Customs.

He even addressed some employees and port officials in a short conference, together with Lapeña nemesis Lourdes Mangaoang.

On Nov. 8, he was seen at the Port of Manila.

He even had a meeting with the new commissioner, Rey Leonardo Guerrero, according to some witnesses in the Bureau of Customs.

The public has the right to know his whereabouts and status at the Bureau of Corrections if he is still on the government payroll.

It is indeed unfair for taxpayers to be shouldering his salary if he is not performing his duties at the BuCor and some people see him loitering instead in Customs areas.

Either he badly misses his job at Customs, or he wants to be appointed as a special consultant by the new commissioner.
