I see myself in Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV 40 years ago.
With fellow activists, we bravely pushed back Metrocom troopers out to disperse the rally, dodged truncheon-wielding riot police, climbed over railings and ran for dear life as bullets whizzed by our ears and over our heads.
Today, my senior legs cannot do those stunts anymore. So, I say: Senator Trillanes, carry on. Raise high the torch of democracy for our embattled people threatened by an emerging cruel, inhumane dictatorship.
