Remembered for humility, fairness

05:02 AM September 03, 2018

Thank you for Ceres Doyo’s wonderful article on Mr. HQ Dee (“Howard Dee, servant and steward,” 8/30/18).

I am a former Unilab employee. Dee was company president from 1964 to 1974. He was admired by employees of that era for his capabilities as the chief executive of a large corporation, and remembered for his humility, fairness and high moral standards.

In Unilab today, we have a strong and vibrant retirees’ association that forms the corps of volunteers in the United Bayanihan Foundation, Unilab’s advocacy arm for senior citizens of the country. There is a whole story behind what the foundation is doing for the country’s elderly.
