Another proposal to ease Edsa traffic

/ 05:12 AM August 31, 2018

Instead of the quashed single-occupant vehicle ban on Edsa, there is a more efficient method to ease traffic.

Using the existing number-coding formula, car plates ending with 1 and 2 should be banned on Edsa on Tuesdays, a day after their assigned number-coding ban in Metro Manila; those ending with 3 and 4 should be banned on Wednesdays, and so on. The formula continues until those ending in 9 and 0 are banned on Edsa on Mondays.

In short, those cars banned in Metro Manila’s number coding for a particular day would be prohibited on Edsa immediately the following day, except for 9 and 0 which would be on Mondays. The same number-coding ban hours shall apply to this formula, which would be easy to implement.
