Lawyer Estelito Mendoza ran a half-page advertisement on May 27 asking readers to “please, let us allow the Supreme Court to do its duty.”
He is apparently worried that his petition to have his client, former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., set free from all plunder charges is no longer getting enough attention amid all the hoopla about the “Sereno matter.”
Just asking, where was Mendoza when several members of the Supreme Court surrendered their “independence” and “serenity” to the House of Representatives’ justice committee, which subjected Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to a “kangaroo” hearing?
We never heard him cautioning “their honors” against harming the integrity of the justice system.
Then in the quo warranto petition filed by the solicitor general against her, everyone knew those justices had acted like over-eager referees throwing punches and upper cuts that knocked the daylights out of Sereno!
How is Mendoza processing all these aberrations or “abominations” in his head?
