DTI supports ending of ‘endo’

Thank you for carrying our views on the need to keep legitimate contractualization.

However, the title “Ending ‘endo’ will scare off investors—DTI” (News, 4/18/18) is not accurate and actually the opposite of what we are trying to say.

“Endo” is what is referred to as the illegal 5-5-5 months practice that has already been stopped. We even said that this was an unfair labor practice that President Duterte promised to stop during the campaign.
The DTI totally supports the ending of “endo.”

What we refer to as important to keep is legitimate contractualization which is allowed in the Labor Code and which will scare off investors if stopped.
