China’s signal-jamming device

This is in reaction to a TV report on the signal-jamming equipment that was installed by China at Mischief Reef. According to an expert, the said device could prevent and manipulate electronic communications of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

I presume that China is not sincere in adhering to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea that defined the limits of the territorial seas of nations and the areas in which they could exploit marine resources, use of the high seas for international navigation, and outlined the rights and responsibilities of nations in the protection of the marine environment.

I believe that they want to control the whole South China Sea where, according to reports, $5.3 trillion in trade passes through.

We need the cooperation and help of neighboring countries about this matter.

However, I am looking forward to the effort of our government in dealing with this matter.

I am positive that the government will not allow any actions of China that will harm not only those who are near the West Philippine Sea, but the rest of the Filipino people.
