An OFW’s ‘resurrection’

I’d like to thank Ms Ceres Doyo for sharing her insights in “OFWs’ 2018 ‘Via Crucis’” (3/22/18). It is a challenge as a minister in the Roman Catholic Church to look at the present situation of our brothers and sisters outside the country, and being an agent of renewal and change.

It gives me an opportunity to recall and reflect all my theological class in the seminary where I was trained, to be with the people and for the people, especially the poor and the marginalized.

P.S. Just a suggestion, I hope she used the new version of the Way of the Cross where the 14th station is: “Jesus rose from the dead, or, the Resurrection.”

Using her perspective in the article, in the 14th station, the body of that domestic helper is already with Jesus in heaven enjoying the deeper meaning beyond our earthly life.
