Garbage for open minds

05:01 AM March 12, 2018

The scary report from Washington about the speed with which false news travel made me think of something I learned once (“Tweeps prefer to spread fake news over the truth, MIT online misinformation study shows,” World, 3/10/18).

What I learned is that if you keep an open mind, people will throw a lot of garbage into it.

That is what’s been happening these days in this administration when men of the ilk of presidential spokesperson Harry Roque call Mocha Uson “a model for women,” (“For Roque, Mocha a ‘model for women,’” 3/10/18).

Equally laughable is his practically canonizing Imee Marcos.

Heaven help the real women of principle whose standards are not in the gutter.
