Baywalk’s homeless
Mayor Joseph Estrada should find a permanent and lasting solution to the indigent street dwellers in the Baywalk portion of Manila’s Roxas Boulevard.
These street dwellers keep coming back after being rounded up by the city social service department as shown on local television channels.
The sad plight of these less fortunate families should be prioritized and addressed not only by the city government of Manila but by the national government as well.
Livelihood assistance and housing units are the two most pressing needs of these underprivileged families.
If we could only provide them their basic necessities, especially those street dwellers on Baywalk, then half of the “battle” is won.
