GSIS replies to retiree’s letter

05:02 AM January 06, 2018

This refers to the letter of Claro Q. Esoen of Mountain Province that was published in the Inquirer last Dec. 22 (“Retiree appeals to GSIS”), regarding the “accrual and effectivity” of his monthly pension.

After close coordination with operating units concerned, GSIS reprocessed Esoen’s retirement claim together with the accrual of his monthly pension, on Dec. 28, 2017.  The proceeds of his claim will be electronically credited to his Land Bank of the Philippines account.

Further, the succeeding old-age pension will be released and e-credited to his account every eighth day of the month for as long as he is an active pensioner.
